About

My name’s Jordan.  I’m a 25…err, 26-year-old single… err, recently married woman.  I write, I read, I cook, and I work.  While I enjoy some of those things more than others, those are what take up the majority of my time.  I decided to start this blog because 2016 is going to be a big year for me: I got married, moved to St. Paul, and am finishing up my first polished novel.  (I say polished because I have three other novel-length works that are still sitting in a file on my laptop as first drafts.  I say polished because it’s not published – yet!)

So much hurt and pain comes from thinking that you’re alone, that no one can relate to what you’re feeling.  There’s incredible power in knowing that you’re not the only one having the experiences that you’re having. I’ll seek to vulnerably let you into what I’m writing, reading, cooking, and experiencing, so that maybe you’ll see that we have something in common.  Maybe you’ll see that you’re not the only one feeling what you’re feeling.  Maybe you’ll know that if you’re a freak, then I’m a freak, too.

  1. Friend! I didn’t even know you started this and I’m so happy to see it. Yay for starting blogs in 2016 for things we are passionate about. I’m so excited to see where this—and you!—goes this year and to be able to walk alongside it with you. I think you may already be inspiring me to write again. Keep ’em coming!

    1. Thanks for the encouragement! I haven’t shared this blog on other social media yet because I wanted to make sure it stuck My goal was 20 posts, then I’ll share it with the world (though writing friends have already found it, which I love). Anyway, here’s to friends, new blogs, and living what we love! (I just took a BIG drink of coffee; you should, too!)
